Normally I would agree, but in this case they didn't draw the prize until after the Convention had closed and the public had left. Half of the stall holders had already packed up and left too.

If that's the case... that's... well, dodgy. There's no other way to describe it.

It means that someone who could only make it to the convention on Friday night still has a chance at the raffle drawn on Sunday. There was also a lot going on, on sunday, so there wasn't much time left free to draw a raffle. Especially with the quizinator going.
It's something that should change, and as things start getting bigger and better - move to bigger premisis, get more media attention, draw bigger crowds - I'm sure that it'll be changed to suit. When a convention's that small you can't really expect the general public to turn up two or three days in a row when they've seen it all in one night.
But that itself will change as more crowds mean more income mean more attractions mean more things to do mean more interest in coming back the next day to see what's new.

from what I undersatnd the draw was going to take place after the con had closed. the winner would be notified via phone/email and it would also be announced on the website. no info has been given to me yet to put on the website.
I'm just waiting for a call back from mark to find out the winners and to sort out a few other things. need to get a few parts sent up for the speederbike as well

nope it was going to be one draw and the person notified. Not everyone could be there for the closing soonce it's drawn that's it. If they can't contact the person for whatever reason I think the idea was to redraw but again I need to hear from Mark or Baz to get the word.
until then I don't know the word.
does anyone know the word?
