Novus Table

Hi all......

As the date for this draws closer.... It's time to sort out the table. what who and when.

So.. What kinds of things do we want at the table.

I have a monitor/computer available for a slideshow or something. Open to any suggeations. we're going to be next to the R2 builders table from the info I have at the moment.

no way is this ture we are going to be at this scifi con that all the 01st is going to be at????



if so im so novus there!!!!


also if anyone else is thinking of going and needs accom let me know im across the road and ill have a bed aval for the wed to tuesday

I have no idea what they have planned. the forum over there doesn't give much away. there's a dinner......

Ill bring cards and flyers etc, but thats about it, I can bring a cd , dvd etc so if we can run it on a laptop or somthing that would be good.

Just got off the phone with the convention people.

They're going to see about having a plasma for us & the R2 Builders to use as a display

hi all.

ok............................where to begin

Novus has a GREAT table space sharing witht he R2 builder at the Con.

We have a change area sectioned off behind screens at out table. there's a speederbike just out front of the table along with a GONK droid and some jawas. a ewok and a naboo fighter display thing.


There's also a 50" plasma for us to use to show fan films/slideshows/R2 building things. I'll have a DVD player there and a computer. the computer will also be streaming a webcam to the tasscifi website showing the convention floor.

if all goes to plan there will be a second computer there to hook into the plasma.

all the convention people are asking is that the table and space provided is manned during the convention hours.
there is also gofers available should you need someone to run for coffee/food etc.

one last thing. anyone getting in for free with the passes they are giving us will not be able to enter the draws or prize winning competitions without paying the entry fee. they don't want the people getting in free winning stuff.

so without further rambling from me...........

I'm not sure the best way to do this on the forum so I'll try this. the days and the con hours are listed below. please add your name in where you are available to hang around near the table. like this unless someone has a better way to do this.

Friday Saturday Sunday
5pm-10pm 9am-10pm 9am-6pm

Shall be there from mid afternoon Friday leaving Launceston in the morning and checking out some sights on the drive down.
So will definately be there for the 5pm start, and can help out the other days, as were staying on at the casino untill we fly out on Wednesday.
