Aha! See, I would have been more likely to recognise ya, if your picture on the Members site here wasn't you looking like the devil-spawn himself. Ugly mofo. :P
Good to be here. I think I like this place lots. Now, all I really need to do is convince the lady to let me pick up a Jedi costume and then grab one of the Ultra Sabers and practice my kendo skills with my brother in law...

It's Alex, Davej's friend from the SerenityOZ forum.
I want give my heartfelt thanks to everyone for letting me tag along after Supanova Sydney07 and to pass on *warm hugs* to all the new friends I made this past weekend. It was great to meet you all. I had a fantastic time and you a fantastic bunch of people. I just wish it went on for bit longer.. it was all over much too quickly. :)
I hope to do lot more with you guys in future. Its going to be a painful wait till BrisNova next year. Hopefully I will have some sort of costume by then. I already have the sabers.. just need to get my butt into gear and do the luxeon conversions I had planned for ages, I was going to wait till I had destroyed all of the LEDs first but the Mauls are turning out be a lot tougher than I thought. :D
Mmmmm.. and then again, after speaking with the R2 guys last weekend.. I could be wheeling in an R2 unit of my own by then as well.
Thanks again to everyone..
alex
;)
p.s. I just can't get enough of the saber dueling!! more! more! more! :D

Start again,
My name is Ken or Jedidownunder or JDU, I would like to thank smashedcrab_jedimaster for refering me to this site.
I have just started into the costume side of Star Wars, with a Darth Vader suit, I will post pics soon. I am also halfway thru a Obi Jedi costume as well.
Probably the main reason that has led me down this path, is that i have a couple of lifesize statues and i want to add some more. So why not be able to wear them as well as display them at home on a manaquin.
I have been an avid fan since i can remember and collect vintage toys and some modern items that catch my eye.
I hope to meet some of you up here in Brisbane at next years supernova.
Thanks Ken

Nice to meet you mate. Hope to see you around the traps. I'm well aware of you on eBay as you have beaten me out of a few items in the past. :D :P :P
Anyhoo, welcome bud, take your space boots off and sit a spell, we'll watch the cosmos go by, have an ale or 10 and chew the fat.
Dylan

G'day Ken, yep that would be me  Always looking for a bargain hehe
Welcome to the club and I look forward to seeing your costumes and catching up when we come up for Supanova next year.
I REALLY look forward to seeing some photos of your collection too, especially the vintage stuff. I recently sold off about 30 vintage carded figures myself, still have some vintage boxed vehicles and playsets to sell too. But I see you selling vintage stuff all the time, so can just imagine what you have in your private collection :D
